The closing time is not the same all year, so check it when you choose your slot. The park can close in exceptional weather, and the ticket is not refunded for bad weather.

How long does the visit take?
There is no fixed length: the park is meant to be enjoyed for as long as you like, up to a full day, with a daily agenda of free activities. It is worth seeing some areas again at different times of the day.
How do the time slots work?
You enter from the hour of your slot until the start of the next one, and for a good reason you can also come earlier or later. You cannot leave and come back without a new ticket.
Will I see all the animals?
Not always. An animal may be out of sight for veterinary reasons, because of the weather, or because the light is low in the last hours. Some areas are good to see again later.
Can I eat during the visit?
Food and drinks stay outside, except water in a non-glass container, baby food and small snacks for young children. The Samburu restaurant and the Kidepo café are open every day, and the Ndoki area is open at weekends and on holidays.
Which rules should I know?
Smoking, flash, touching or feeding the animals, and tapping on the glass are not allowed. Bikes, skateboards and balls stay outside. Children under 14 must be with an adult, with a maximum of five children per adult. Pets are not admitted, except guide and assistance dogs with accreditation.
Is it accessible?
Yes, the park is fully accessible. Wheelchairs are lent only for emergencies, so bring your own if you need one.
